INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL CLASS TEACHER

Michael Mount Waldorf School, situated in Bryanston, Johannesburg, is currently looking for an experienced Class Teacher to start in January 2026.

The Waldorf education system is an established, esteemed international approach to education, with clearly defined parameters, methods of interaction and curriculum.  The successful applicant must be: –

INKANYEZI WALDORF SCHOOL, JOHANNESBURG

PEDAGOGIC COORDINATOR

Inkanyezi Waldorf School uses a Waldorf Curriculum from Kindergarten to Class 7 that is designed to educate, inspire and nurture the thinking, feeling and willing of a child to become an independent, creative and responsible individual. The School is based in the heart of the Alexandra Township.

Inkanyezi Waldorf School is seeking a Pedagogic Coordinator to work alongside and support the Head of the school. This is a vital role for the everyday operations and support to the staff, parents and children.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Mandates:

  • Be an active member on school mandates and work with the Head to implement decisions.
  • Assist with updating, implantation and enforcing policies.

Staff:

  • Support and assist the Head with all staff related matters, SACE registration, legal matters that may arise, etc.
  • Problem solving, arbitration and reconciliation with staff.
  • Coordination of academics and timetables.

School Management

  • Work with the Head to monitor educational standards (administrative and pedagogical
  • Join the Head in attending DBE meetings, other professional meetings, donors, etc.
  • Assist with compliance with Health & Safety (Fire Department, City of JHB), regulatory bodies, (ISASA, OISESA, DBE etc).
  • Assist with long term planning in line with the vision of the school.
  • Monitor the debtor’s book which is handled by the debtor’s clerk.
  • Project management

Minimum requirements:

  • SACE registered. (A recognised PGCE)
  • Strong communication and management skills
  • Professionalism, Honest and Integrity
  • Passion for working with children and a commitment to the safeguarding of children.
  • Police Clearance, Sexual offence register and criminal check clearance
  • Previous experience in management
  • 5 years and more teaching experience
